We occasionally have openings for clerical and paralegal staff.  If you are a highly qualified and highly motivated individual willing to work diligently to provide our clients with a high level of service, we would be interested to meet with you.  We offer a competitive salary and benefit package as well as a high level of employer support and a collegial work environment.

Interested in articling with us?

Articling with The Breton Law Group

The Breton Law Group’s articling program aims to attract students who want to grow with us and become a part of our team.  Articling with The Breton Law Group will provide you with an opportunity to explore and experience a broad range of both barrister’s and solicitor’s work in a full service mid-size firm.

The Breton Law Group has a comprehensive Articling plan, designed to ensure you develop the foundational skills and competencies necessary to succeed in the practice of law.  We will also consider areas of personal interest in the development of your individual Articling plan.

An Articled Clerk is matched with a Principal who will meet with them on a regular basis to provide feedback, review workload, and monitor exposure to the various areas of law. You will also participate in our in-house Associate Professional Development program, designed to support the individual’s practice within the Firm.

Articling with The Breton Law Group gives you the advantage of working one-on-one with all of our lawyers throughout your Articles within our collegial office environment.  You can count on a supportive team of paralegal, legal and administrative staff.

Articling applications should be submitted no later than October 31 with the intent of beginning June 1 of the following year. We understand this timeline is not applicable to all applicants and accommodations will be considered.  We are looking for strong academic qualifications and integrity with enthusiasm for the practice of law and a healthy work/life balance.

We also hire summer students with a strong preference for individuals who are interested in articling with our firm. The deadline for applications is July 31st following the completion of first year as our hiring decisions are typically made in September.

Applicants should provide a resume, transcript of undergraduate and law school grades as well as the names of two references:
