About Tony

Tony is a partner in our Sydney office with a broad practice spanning the areas of administrative law, labour relations, criminal and civil litigation. He has established an in-depth knowledge of administrative and labour law, human resources and employee relations, human rights law, Charter rights law, negotiation and arbitration, as well as civil and criminal litigation. He is experienced in the process and conduct of administrative hearings, criminal and personal injury trials before all levels of administrative tribunals and courts in Nova Scotia. Tony is a skilled advocate, litigator and negotiator.

Tony served as Vice Chair of the Nova Scotia Labour Board from 1998 to 2014. He has provided legal advice and support to several First Nations communities, school boards, as well as numerous community organizations throughout Cape Breton. He is also the President of the Cape Breton Barristers’ Society and sits on the Board of Governors of Cape Breton University.

Tony contributes his time and expertise as a valuable volunteer to the Highland Village, YMCA, Open Door Homeless Shelter, Touch on Wood and Ring 73 in both Membertou and Glace Bay.
