About David

David is a lawyer in our Sydney office with an expansive practice in the areas of corporate and business, municipal law, litigation, wills and estates, and real estate. He advises clients on a wide range of estate and trusts-related matters as well as general litigation matters. David works with a variety of industries but has extensive experience working within energy and natural resources.

David received his Juris Doctor and Marine Law Certificate from Dalhousie’s Schulich School of Law in 2020. While in law school, he was a recipient of an Alistair Fraser Award for Criminal Justice and competed as a member of the school’s Jessup International Law Moot team, receiving an oralist prize at nationals. A dedicated volunteer with the A2J Free Legal Clinic throughout law school, he continues to work with a variety of not-for-profit organizations in his community. He is a member of the Nova Scotia Barristers’ Society and the Canadian Bar Association.

Before practicing law, David spent more than a decade in the Royal Canadian Navy as a Naval Engineering Officer.
