John Khattar is a graduate of McGill University and Dalhousie Law School. John's career has spanned almost 40 years of practice in the local community. His primary areas of practice are property law, elder law, wills and estate planning, probate, commercial and corporate law, and health law.
He provides legal services to individuals as well corporate and not-for-profit sectors.
Relationships with his clients are of paramount importance to John. Knowing his clients, listening to and understanding their needs and goals are key to keeping the relationship vibrant and timely. When circumstances dictate, a home or hospital visit can be arranged.
John is a graduate of McMaster University's School of Governance and has earned the designation of C. Dir. Throughout his career he has been a volunteer with several organizations including the Nova Scotia Barristers' Society, John Howard Society and the Rotary Club of Sydney.
John is past chair of the Nova Scotia Gaming Corporation and currently serves as a member of the Board of CBU Developments and Vice-Chair of the Port of Sydney Development Corporation.
